Sweetheart Blog Swap Reveal

I have to be honest...I've lacked the motivation to blog lately.  It's been almost a MONTH!  But - I have managed to cross off a couple more things from my 30 Before 30 List so I haven't been a complete slacker!!

I recently participated in a Valentine's Bloggy Swap hosted by lovelies Savanah and Ashlee.

I was paired with Katie - she sent me this AMAZING cookbook all about cupcakes.  She's a girl after my own heart!  I love everything about cupcakes (except the calories) - check out my cupcake proposal here! 


Look at some of these fun cupcakes - I can't wait to start trying them out!  The hubs will need that golf on :)

    I'm glad you like it! It had good reviews for having some good recipes so I figured it may be perfect for a cupcake lover! I hope you had a great Valentine's Day!

H54F and Nail Files

A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell fr...
