I love putting together gift baskets for people - so when I get the chance, I jump on it.  For instance, one of my friends celebrated her birthday a couple weeks ago and she's been going through some not so happy times so what better than a Sunshine Box???  I saw this idea on Pinterest (wish I could take full credit for the idea) and knew I wanted to make her one.  Basically, you just buy everything in yellow.  Easy?  Yes! As many of you know, the OKC Thunder are playing in the NBA playoffs and David and I are huge Thunder fans!!  They won the first game and play the 2nd tomorrow night, I believe!!  I even chose my Julep Maven box one month because the polishes were blue and orange.  And here is one of my first ever blog posts of us in our Thunder gear.  If we could go to every game, we would.  I decided instead of buying a Thunder wreath and spending about twice the amount, I would just make one!  It was sooo easy - thanks to this website .  I love all of her videos!  I don't think I will ever buy a wreath again.  I made this fun little collage in my new favorite iPhone app called Photo Collage .  It was free until I fell in love with this heart one and then I was suckered into paying $1.99 so I could get it.  So not fair! I'm just a little late at posting these beautful, photo-worthy cupcakes.  (If you could hear me, you would sense my sarcasm!)  They may not look as pretty as the original recipe pictures, but they were a disaster a lot of fun to make!  My mom found the cute little sheep cupcake recipe and I found the others.  We spent the ENTIRE day before Easter slaving away in the kitchen.  We never could have imagined the hard work that we put into these damn cupcakes!!  After the first dozen, we decided to just ice them and throw some sprinkles on top.  Most of the recipes called for a batter made from scratch...ummm...we cheated and used box cake mix!  Lamb Cupcakes adapted from the  Imperial Sugar Website  (told you the orignal ones were cuter!) Have you ever gotten rid of old frames that don't match your decor??  Prepare to regret it!!  My mom had these in our last garage sale for a quarter and I snatched them up.  (I probably still owe her the fifty cents.) I used the same technique I used to refinish my hope chest  and added a few scrapbook flowers and black pearls.  I love how they turned out! So, the next time you think you want to get rid of an old, out-dated frame...just slap some paint on it and fall in love with it all over again!!

One afternoon, our departments at work took a little break - a MUCH NEEDED break!  We like to call it "team building".  We went to Be Wild for Art in Norman, Oklahoma.  You pick the piece you want to paint, your colors, brushes - and let me tell you, there are TONS of items to pick from!  It was so hard to decide!! These are all the colors of paint They even have a bling bar - can't go wrong with a little bling! Pick your poison! I will be doing a platter next! Aren't they all so intensely focused?!?  I love how they all seemed to manage a "We are trying to paint, get the camera out of our face" smile! I knew I wanted to do something for my kitchen so it had to be turqouse and yellow - this was my inspiration.
