Tidy Up Tuesday: Meal Planning Board

I've been using this menu board for almost 2 years and I don't know how I lived without it before!   I used to always go to the grocery store and buy things to make all kinds of new recipes and then I would get home and put everything away. By the time the week came and went, I would forget what I was supposed to make. So I ended up having all kinds of random food and it would go to waste. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this!! Now, before I go to the store, I plan dinners for the week and put them on the board. Then I make a list of everything I need so I only buy what is on the board...and my basics of course. And when each night comes around, I don't have to think about what I'm making for dinner. Plus, if I see I'm making say, chicken the next night, I sit it out the night before to thaw. This board was SO EASY to make. What you need: 12x12 Frame - I found mine at Hobby Lobby 12x12 Scrapbook Paper Dry Erase Marker ...

Tidy Up Tuesday: Coupon Binder

Last week, I did a post about couponing .  I also recently organized my coupons so I thought what better day to talk about that than "Tidy Up Tuesday"!  I'm also thinking of starting a link up party for Tuesdays.  Everyone can post their organizing projects!!  We shall see. So, anyways, here is how my coupons were organized before.  An accordian file was just fine...until I had a couple week's worth of coupons cut out.  I was so tired of taking this to the store and digging for my coupons and having them fall out.  I was seriously a hot mess at the store!  I considered buying a coupon binder from Amazon .  But then, I remembered something.  I had used this Martha Stewart Binder as a planner before I got my Vera Bradley one.  I bought the blue Martha Stewart binder and then recovered it...see here .  When I switched planners, I kept it for some reason.  SO glad I did...it works perfectly!! Tidy Up Tuesday: Thirty One Gifts Bags

I am a self-proclaimed basket, tote, and container hoarding, organizing fool.  I ♥ to organize.  I get this from my mother.  She has a basket for EVERYTHING.  For instance, when we go visit and leave our keys on the bar, she puts them in the basket that is on the counter by the bar.  If we can't find something of ours (keys, sunglasses, etc) at her house, we know to start looking in the strategically placed baskets around the house.  David loves to make fun of the basket situation.  Slowly but surely, I am turning into my mother.  There is a place for everything and everything MUST be in its place.  OCD much?? So, I am dedicating one post a week to just that: organizing.  I will be sharing some of my organizing tips and ideas and also some before/afters for projects I take on at home. I wanted to share this because it just makes me happy to open up the cabinet and see.  I know.  Weird.  Don't judge!...
