☆ 30 Before 30 ☆

Since I just turned 29 this past month, I had a realization...I only have one year left in my twenties!!  I've always told myself I wanted to create a bucket list of things I would like to accomplish before I turn 30.  Well, it hit me...I have yet to create this list and I only have 12 short months to make the list and get each and every goal crossed off.  NO PRESSURE!!   When I was younger, I probably would have put travel to Italy, Hawaii, have 2 kids, be a SAHM...but I tried to be a little more realistic given the fact that I have done none of those!!  So, here is my "30 Before 30" list.  Wish me luck :)

1. Run a 5K - Just signed up for Color Me Rad in May 2013!   David and I did the Color Me Rad and had a blast.  However, we didn't run it.  We ran/walked.  I am not crossing this one off until I run the entire thing.

2. Get a Brazilian wax!  Yes....this is really on my list! - This will not happen before I turn 30 but my bff and I have a date for one in August! *Update* I had this horrible experience when I was a couple month pregnant...BIG mistake.  Never. Happening. Again.

3. Go camping.  I haven't been camping since ... well I can't remember the last time I went camping.

4. Finish my 20 Something, 20 Everything book.  I've had this book for 2 years (I'm not really a book reader) - it's apparently a book that every 20-something woman should read.

5. Volunteer at an animal shelter.  Just couldn't do it.  I would come home with every. single. dog.  Ally would get jealous.

6. Get a new car - Metallic Black GMC Terrain.    Done - January 23rd!

7. Complete the Insanity workout program again - except this time I will not quit when I only have 2 weeks left like I did last time.

8. Start investing. Just signed up 1/18/2013!!  I feel like such an adult now! :)

9. Learn how to refinish furniture.  Completed 8/5/2012 - refinished cedar chest!!

10. Complete our wedding scrapbook.

11. Learn how to make homemade ice cream.  I've had an ice cream maker for about 5 years - it's still in the box! Completed 7/4/2013

12. Go see a ballet. David and I saw the Nutcracker this past December - post on that later!

13. Invest in a good camera bag. - David got me this one for Christmas and I am in love with it - post on that later!! :)

14. Own something Chanel - preferably a necklace or earrings.  Done 7/22/2013  Thank you David!

15. Go to New York - Maybe for my 30th birthday?!? :)

16. Start going to church.

17. Go to an Opera ... fancy clothes and all!

18. Eat at Mahogany Steakhouse. Ate here for our 1 year anniversary 9/3/2012!

19. Go on a road trip with no destination in mind.

20. Watch movies on my "movies you must watch" list.  The girls at work are amazed at some of the movies I've never seen so they made a list for me - it is hanging on my memo board...thanks girls :)  See the list here.  Any more suggestions??
       *A Few More I Haven't Seen*
               - What's Eating Gilbert's Grape - 8/11/12
               - Sixteen Candles (seen it - don't remember it)
               - Pretty in Pink
               - Forest Gump - 11/25/12
               - Breakfast Club
               - Breakfast at Tiffany's - 10/20/2012

21. Reach goal weight of 125-130.

22. Take my mom on a mini vacation - possibly with my sis.  My mom can't remember the last vacation she took just to relax!!  Completed March 2013 - Alabama

23. Become a Certified Credentialing Specialist - or at least order the study guide (got it on 10/18/12) and start studying...baby steps!  Taking the test this Spring!  *update* I took the test and failed.  I have to admit, I didn't really study as much as I should have but the test was cra-cra hard!  It had NOTHING to do with the study guide.  I knew when I decided to take it that it would be hard because I haven't actually done "credentialing" in my career...just a portion of it...but I still wanted to try!  I thought I failed horribly but when I got my results, I had only failed by about 25 points!  That's way better than I thought I did so even though I failed on paper, I feel like it was a success!

24. Go to the horse races at Remington Park.  Must wear a fancy hat :)

25. Complete a yoga challenge.  30 Days of Yoga - Done - February 2nd!

26. Have boudoir pics done.

27. Visit Silver Dollar City/Branson for Christmas. Completed December 2012 - David's parents took us on a trip for Christmas - post on that later

28. Start working out in the mornings.  Done! *update* not so much anymore...I'm more of a late night exerciser and I'm ok with that!

29.  Build a House.  Well not personally...have a house built.  Completed July 2013

30.  Get pregnant!!  Preferably after #26!!  :)  - Done...x2!

You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. Loving Lately: My Discovery of MAC Cosmetics

I am 29 years young and I have JUST discovered MAC.  Yes, it's true.  I have apparently been living under a rock.  In a bubble.  Something!!  I ran out of foundation this weekend and decided to give it a try.  And O.M.G. I am so glad I did.  Ok - here are my face issues... 1. Oily Eyelids - eyeshadow creases within an hour...not fun. 2. Oily Face - makeup disappears and the shine is outta control...not fun either!! 3. Acne Scars - the dark spot kind...ugh!  4. Acne - why do I have acne at 29???  It just isn't fair to have to use acne treatment AND an anti-aging cream!!  I went to the MAC counter with absolutely no makeup on whatsoever....I was not lookin' pretty!  They were having a special event to market their "after hours" collection  and there was a model there with her husband who is apparently a famous NBA basketball player from the LA Clippers.  I guess I should've gotten a picture bu...

TRIA Hair Removal Laser

Ok...I'm just going to jump right into this.  Let's talk about hair.  I'm not talking about the hair on your head that you want people to see and love.  I'm talking about the unwanted hair that you loathe and want noone to see!  Embarrassing subject?  Yep!!  I have a medical condition called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) that has many, many side effects that makes it extremely difficult to get preggers but that's another subject we won't get into right now.  One of the most annoying effects being facial hair!!  There, I said it.  Since high school I've had to deal with this embarrassing situation.  Back then, I hated it and I would cry because I thought I was the only one dealing with this.  Now that I'm older (and wiser), I can laugh about it.  And the more I talk to people about it, the more I realize women everywhere are dealing with this "lady with the beard" issue.  I seriously could join a circus, people....
