Shop Good - Oklahoma City

While waiting for our table at Iguana this weekend, we stumbled upon a cute little shop next to the restaurant.  Shop Good, located in downtown Oklahoma City, is not only adorable and packed with some awesome stuff, but they give back to the community with every purchase.

From their website:
"We want to make looking great a little friendlier and giving back a little simpler, so every item in the store – whether it’s a pair of skinny jeans, a hand-poured soy candle or a giant cheeseburger wallet – is socially responsible, fairly traded and connected to a local or international community development project. Just check the tags on your favorite items to see how your purchase will contribute to a deserving charity or community, both here in OKC and around the world."

How awesome is that???  I will be going back when I have more time to actually shop.  I was too busy taking pictures this time :)

I want really, really need this dress!!

Absolutely love it!

I love local shops like this - I'm so glad I came across it!  Can't wait to go back and spend some money give back to the community.

A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell fr...
