Healthy Makeover Monday: Zevia

Last Monday, I talked about water intake. I set a goal to give up Diet Dr. Pepper except for maybe twice a week. I realized pretty quick this was an unrealistic goal! I was so good the first 3 days...I only had ONE ddp. But then, the headaches and tiredness set in. Mind you, I don't drink coffee on a regular basis. Maybe once a month, if that.  So I'm pretty sure the tiredness was the absolutely no caffeine.

So then I drank 2 ddp's that day. Then I drank 2 more the next day. Addiction I tell you!!! I was talking to a friend and she told me how bad sodas are. I already know how bad they are but I am in complete denial! She was telling me about an alternative sweetener called Stevia. I did some research and found something called Zevia, the zero-calorie soda. So I went to Target and found them. They even have one called Dr. Zevia!!! I got that one, of course, and a lemon-lime flavor.

I'm still going to drink a lot of water but If I HAVE to have soda, I'm going to HAVE to drink this stuff! Maybe this way I can "have my soda and drink it too"....oh come on, you know that was a little funny :)

I'll be doing a review on the taste soon!!

ALSO...my blog is driving. me. crazy.  Look to the right.  What's missing?  My sidebar!  Now scroll all the way down to the bottom.  Oh, HEY right sidebar!  What are you doing down there and how in the world did you get there??  I've been trying to get you back to where you belong, but you, you are one stubborn a**hole!!!!   Anyone else have this problem???

  1. I'm not s huge soda (or pop as we Canadians call it) but sometimes I get such a craving and want to chug Pepsi. can't wait to see how this turns out.

sidebar issue. this happened to me and I literally had one picture that was too big for my blog.

go look at your blog as if you were checking it out and open different posts in different tabs. you will notice that most of them are normal and the sidebar will be where it's supposed to be but one post the sidebar will be at the bottom.

edit the post and make the pictures one size smaller and see if that works!

sorry for the novel long comment haha :)

  2. I feel your blog design woes! I feel like I want to judo-chop my computer every time I post and my alignment won't stay where it's supposed to! Stinking blogger.

And holy cow, there are so many Dr. Pepper addict bloggers! So at least you're in good company :) Ha!

Thanks so much for stopping by and linking up with us! Following along now! :)

  3. Ohh! I was just thinking about it, and perhaps your column widths just need to be adjusted? Maybe try that? Template>Customize>Adjust Widths (Just in case!)

    Hope that helps?

Today I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki  for their fabulous linkup party, The Nail Files. Essie : Turquoise and Caicos Julep : Ivy Annnnd...I'm doing something a little special for my readers today - a nail polish giveaway!!  I am admittedly copying Christina over at Easily Entertained .  :) She recently did a nail polish giveaway (that I missed out on..boo) and I thought what a GREAT way to get rid of some of my overflowing collection of polishes!!! You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. All of these polishes are slightly used (maybe 2 or 3 times) except for the CHI brand and the green Ulta one - those have never been used.  The glitter pots and the lipgloss are also brand spankin' new. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Loving Lately: My Discovery of MAC Cosmetics

I am 29 years young and I have JUST discovered MAC.  Yes, it's true.  I have apparently been living under a rock.  In a bubble.  Something!!  I ran out of foundation this weekend and decided to give it a try.  And O.M.G. I am so glad I did.  Ok - here are my face issues... 1. Oily Eyelids - eyeshadow creases within an hour...not fun. 2. Oily Face - makeup disappears and the shine is outta control...not fun either!! 3. Acne Scars - the dark spot kind...ugh!  4. Acne - why do I have acne at 29???  It just isn't fair to have to use acne treatment AND an anti-aging cream!!  I went to the MAC counter with absolutely no makeup on whatsoever....I was not lookin' pretty!  They were having a special event to market their "after hours" collection  and there was a model there with her husband who is apparently a famous NBA basketball player from the LA Clippers.  I guess I should've gotten a picture but I was more focused on getting some makeup on my fac

TRIA Hair Removal Laser

Ok...I'm just going to jump right into this.  Let's talk about hair.  I'm not talking about the hair on your head that you want people to see and love.  I'm talking about the unwanted hair that you loathe and want noone to see!  Embarrassing subject?  Yep!!  I have a medical condition called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) that has many, many side effects that makes it extremely difficult to get preggers but that's another subject we won't get into right now.  One of the most annoying effects being facial hair!!  There, I said it.  Since high school I've had to deal with this embarrassing situation.  Back then, I hated it and I would cry because I thought I was the only one dealing with this.  Now that I'm older (and wiser), I can laugh about it.  And the more I talk to people about it, the more I realize women everywhere are dealing with this "lady with the beard" issue.  I seriously could join a circus, people.  Ok, maybe it's not t
