Julep Maven Box and Nail Files

After 2 months of skipping my Julep Maven Box, I decided I deserved this month's box...just because.  Especially since it included some brand spanking new items!!  I chose the "Modern Beauty" Box.

This box of fun included: (descriptions are from their website)
Sugar Smooch Lip Scrub - This scrumptious blend of brown sugar, molasses, conditioning oils, vitamin E, and shea butter will leave your lips soft, smooth, and ready for color (or kisses)
American Beauty Volumizing Mascara - Jet black. Lash growth enhancement ingredients and micro-fiber applicator separates, conditions, and plumps individual lashes for a thick and gorgeous finish
New York Jazz Lipstick - Silky little lip colors inspired by the Roaring Twenties. Set Includes: Tea for Two - Nude shimmer lip sheer, Satin Doll - Poppy lip sheer, Lady in Red - Matte crimson lip color
It also included some cute flower bobby pins!

Here are the lipsticks - love them!!
I also added on the Julep Boho Glam Polish in "Alice" - a shimmery purple.

Here is how my manicure turned out this week using my Julep polish!  I also used two of the polishes I got in this swap - Ruby Kisses "Black Eutopia" and "Snow White".

This is my first time attempting "nail art" using tape - let's just say practice makes perfect and I'm going to need some more practice.

You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell fr...
