♥ Birthday Love - Part 1♥

So, I have always signed up for e-mails and newsletters through stores and restaurants because I love a good deal or coupon!  I usually end up deleting most of the e-mails because they are about sales or specials that I don't want to take advantage of or some other form of junk mail.  The month of July, however, is a different story!!  All of my favorite stores and restaurants send me coupons for free goodies!  I ♥ it and ALWAYS take advantage of freebies :)  Here's what I got this year!

Free drink from Starbucks - Java Chip Frappuccino - the Light Version.  Yummy!!

One of my favorite makeup stores, Ulta, sent me a free $10 certificate!  I picked up this AMAZING Emerald Eyeshadow - I can't wait to use it!

I also picked up this Nutrient Spray - it's supposed to make your hair shiny and also act as a conditioning treatment.  I tried it out and ♥ it.  It's not oily or greasy and it made my hair shiny and soft - it also smells good!

DSW Shoe store sent me a $5 certificate so I bought some of these shoe cushions.  A set of 2 costs 7 bucks so I was only out $2!

Sephora's gift was a set of SUGAR lip gloss - It is probably the softest silkiest lip gloss I've ever used!  I will probably be buying a big tube once these samples are gone.

And here are all my gifts!  See the 6-pc. Towel Set in the back?  Well, JCPenneys sent me a $15 certificate and I scored big on the clearance rack in the store this weekend. I got all 6 towels (PERFECT match to my bathroom) for $18!!!  So I only had to spend $3 of my own money!!

I also got a free sandwich from Schlotzsky's.  I tried out their new Chicken Cordon Bleu - it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!  Chicken, Bacon, Cheese and Honey Mustard??  Yes, Please!!!

I just love all my birthday freebies...Happy Birthday to Me!!!  Lesson learned??  Go sign up for newsletters and e-mails, people!!!  It's worth all the junk mail :)

A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell fr...
