My friend, Tracie, invited me to the Myriad Gardens for "Movies on the Gardens" to see Grease.   I had no idea the Gardens even did this...how fun!!  They let you bring your own drinks, (including alcohol!!), chairs or blankets, and they show "oldie but goodie" movies on a huge screen.  They even have a cute old-fashioned popcorn and cotton candy stand.  I had good intentions of taking a picture of them, but I forgot.  Dang it!!  But I did manage to get a couple *blurry* pics on my phone.   They don't allow glass, so Tracie was prepared with a delicious, sweet red, box wine.  Thanks girl!! She even brought "red solo cups" :) Here's a shot of the screen.  It was such a good night to do this.  I was a little worried because it was 110 degrees all day, but it had cooled down a bit and there was at least a breeze.  And I haven't seen Grease in probably over 10 years!!  I can't wait to go watch another m...

I am so excited to be in our house and actually have room to bake and cook!  My first use of the stove and oven was a success....the house is still standing!  I found a recipe online a while back for Rolo Cake Mix Bars.  Since David and I are both counting calories, I wanted to make sure I had something or someone to take these to so I wouldn't be tempted to eat the entire pan!  Who am I kidding...I was still tempted!  David's store is having a huge sale this week and they will all be working extra long hours preparing for the sale and the day of sale.  So...they will be consuming all of the calories...not me! 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix 5 oz. Evaporated Milk 1/4 C. Butter, melted 40 Rolo Candies, unwrapped and cut in half Mix cake mix, milk, and butter... The batter will be a thick and creamy consistency. Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray.  Divide batter in half and press 1/2 into the bottom of the pan.  Bake at 350 degre...

So, I have always signed up for e-mails and newsletters through stores and restaurants because I love a good deal or coupon!  I usually end up deleting most of the e-mails because they are about sales or specials that I don't want to take advantage of or some other form of junk mail.  The month of July, however, is a different story!!  All of my favorite stores and restaurants send me coupons for free goodies!  I ♥ it and ALWAYS take advantage of freebies :)  Here's what I got this year!  Free drink from Starbucks - Java Chip Frappuccino - the Light Version.  Yummy!!
