And now for my swap reveal!!!  This was the "A Perfect Night In" swap hosted by Amber and Lin and it was so much fun!!

I was paired with the amazing Crystal at Thrify and Frugal Living.  Her blog is awesome - without it, I would've never gotten a year subscription to Cosmo...for FREE!  Thanks Crystal!!

Here are the goodies she sent me...it was like my bff went shopping for me!  Seriously, I loved everything!  She said she went off of this post to buy things for me....smart girl!  PLUS...she sent me bonus pictures of a mint watch and purse that she found at Target....her and I both want desperately need the watch!

Admission by Jean Hanff Korelitz
Gold Earrings - to die for!
Merona Mint Socks - solid and stripe
Glade Candle - Garden Sunshine - smells oh so good and matches my kitchen perfectly!

  1. Ohh I love this post! :) I am so happy that you liked everything. I hope you like the book. I figured a newer book would be my best shot. I adore Tina Fey and thought that it would be a little funnier than it was (yup...saw the movie last Thursday. Funny, but not Tina Fey Funny. Damn. It was a good story though...hopefully the book fills in some of the questions the movie left me with). Anyways. I couldn't find Sex and The City 2 and then the day after I mailed it I found SATC & SATC2 in a combo dvd pack for $5 (Story of my life). Look for it at Walmart!

It was great to meet you and I am happy we were partnered up together. I am off to bed soon, but I will link up later tonight or tomorrow with my goodies.

ps>Love the pink striped (chevron?) shirt!

  4. Great package! Crystal really did a fantastic job. I love that there's a bit of a color theme going on, mostly cause I love green sorbet. Merona socks are the best, love love love them.

Thanks so much for participating in the swap & linking up!

Nail Files and a Giveaway

Today I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki  for their fabulous linkup party, The Nail Files. Essie : Turquoise and Caicos Julep : Ivy Annnnd...I'm doing something a little special for my readers today - a nail polish giveaway!!  I am admittedly copying Christina over at Easily Entertained .  :) She recently did a nail polish giveaway (that I missed out on..boo) and I thought what a GREAT way to get rid of some of my overflowing collection of polishes!!! You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. All of these polishes are slightly used (maybe 2 or 3 times) except for the CHI brand and the green Ulta one - those have never been used.  The glitter pots and the lipgloss are also brand spankin' new. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Loving Lately: My Discovery of MAC Cosmetics

I am 29 years young and I have JUST discovered MAC.  Yes, it's true.  I have apparently been living under a rock.  In a bubble.  Something!!  I ran out of foundation this weekend and decided to give it a try.  And O.M.G. I am so glad I did.  Ok - here are my face issues... 1. Oily Eyelids - eyeshadow creases within an hour...not fun. 2. Oily Face - makeup disappears and the shine is outta control...not fun either!! 3. Acne Scars - the dark spot kind...ugh!  4. Acne - why do I have acne at 29???  It just isn't fair to have to use acne treatment AND an anti-aging cream!!  I went to the MAC counter with absolutely no makeup on whatsoever....I was not lookin' pretty!  They were having a special event to market their "after hours" collection  and there was a model there with her husband who is apparently a famous NBA basketball player from the LA Clippers.  I guess I should've gotten a picture but I was more focused on getting some makeup on my fac

TRIA Hair Removal Laser

Ok...I'm just going to jump right into this.  Let's talk about hair.  I'm not talking about the hair on your head that you want people to see and love.  I'm talking about the unwanted hair that you loathe and want noone to see!  Embarrassing subject?  Yep!!  I have a medical condition called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) that has many, many side effects that makes it extremely difficult to get preggers but that's another subject we won't get into right now.  One of the most annoying effects being facial hair!!  There, I said it.  Since high school I've had to deal with this embarrassing situation.  Back then, I hated it and I would cry because I thought I was the only one dealing with this.  Now that I'm older (and wiser), I can laugh about it.  And the more I talk to people about it, the more I realize women everywhere are dealing with this "lady with the beard" issue.  I seriously could join a circus, people.  Ok, maybe it's not t
