Product Review: OK in a Box

Disclaimer: I received a free, complimentary box valued at $29 to complete this review.  All words and opinions are of my own.

What if I told you that you could get the best of Oklahoma made products sent right to your mailbox every month?  You'd be overly excited, right?  I thought so!!

A while ago, I was lucky enough to be contacted by a new company, OK in a Box, to do a review of one of their boxes.  I had never heard of this company but I thought, "What a great idea!"  I have lived in Oklahoma my entire life and have yet to hear about so many of the great, locally made products.  So to box up these products and ship them monthly to your doorstep - this company is on to something!!

On to the good stuff....

Daddy Hinkle's Instant Meat Marinade: Onion and Garlic - Cleveland, Oklahoma
I can't wait to try this.  It is a 2-part marinade - wet and dry.  Basically, you soak the meat with the wet and then rub it with the dry.  Yummy!  Check their website out here.

Valley View Pecan Company: Cinnamon Sugar Pecans - Shawnee, Oklahoma
Absolutely. Amazing.  Need I say more?  Yes - I want another bag.  Find them here

Maria Rae's Gourmet Foods: Spunky Spuds and Holey Guacamole - Enid, Oklahoma
I love seasoning packets so when I found these in my box of goodies, I was quite excited!  These will be perfect for all those holiday parties.  Or maybe I'll just keep them to myself :)  Check out their website here.

Southern Okie: Gourmet Apple Spread - Edmond, Oklahoma
OMG - I could seriously eat this by the spoonful.  I may or may not have done just that.  Don't judge. I put this on some wheat bread and my husband and I had ourselves a delicious snack.  I will definitely be purchasing the pumpkin spread for Thanksgiving!

Want your own box?  Want $10 off your first order?  I can see you shaking your heads yes now.  Click here to get your very own OK in a Box and $10 will be deducted at checkout!

You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell fr...
