Life Changing Beauty Product??

SHU UEMURA Art of Hair Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil

A friend of mine brought this product to my attention.  She forwarded this article to me from Birchbox.  You can also buy it on Amazon.  I have to say, the girl that wrote the article is pretty dang convincing.  I have NEVER spent this much on a beauty product...EVER!!!

So my question is....have any of you tried this product?  What did you think...Love?  Hate?  What is the most you've ever spent on a beauty product and what was it??  Maybe we can all go in together and separate it in smaller bottles....that way we could all afford it! :)

One more day left to enter my Scentsy bar giveaway!!!

I'm also linking up with Tara over at Fabulous but Evil for her Nail Files Linkup.

Sinful: POPARAZZI

You may be wondering WTF when you look at this picture!  On my trip to Alabama, I was in WalGreens with my 3 year old niece, Addy.  She saw this nail polish and yelled as loud as she could "Oh Aunt Kari, this nail polish is BEAUTIFUL!!!"  So what did Aunt Kari do??  Bought it for her, of course!!

My 6 year old niece, Lili, just HAD to paint my nails that night.  See her painting them here.  She was oh so excited!  They were globby, thick, and not so neat!!  But she thought they were just gorgeous!!!  So I let them dry and tried my best to get the polish off of skin around my nail.  Almost a week later, I am STILL wearing this polish!  It has chipped off and doesn't look quite as gorgeous now.  Lazy?  Yep.  Don't judge!

Seeing all of these Nail Files posts make me want to join Julep again!  They have some AMAZING colors!!

Nail Files and a Giveaway

Today I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki  for their fabulous linkup party, The Nail Files. Essie : Turquoise and Caicos Julep : Ivy Annnnd...I'm doing something a little special for my readers today - a nail polish giveaway!!  I am admittedly copying Christina over at Easily Entertained .  :) She recently did a nail polish giveaway (that I missed out on..boo) and I thought what a GREAT way to get rid of some of my overflowing collection of polishes!!! You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. All of these polishes are slightly used (maybe 2 or 3 times) except for the CHI brand and the green Ulta one - those have never been used.  The glitter pots and the lipgloss are also brand spankin' new. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Halloween Treats

For work gifts this year, I used these free printables  and these free printables  to make these cute little treats!  I had a lot of fun making them.  I dragged my poor mom and David around to so many stores looking for different colored Tic Tacs and eyeball candy.  I wanted very badly to make the Vampire Vitamins...who knew it would be so hard to find red Tic Tacs! I also made this easy Halloween Bark. What You Need:   1 Package Halloween Oreos Candy Corn 2 Packages Wilton Candy Melts in White Halloween Sprinkles - I ended up using different sprinkles than the ones in the picture...a girl has a right to change her mind, right? Pretzels - I stole these out of our Trick-or-Treat bowl because I felt like it needed something to offset all the sweetness. 1. Crumble up the Oreos.  I crushed some by hand, some in my food processor and broke some in halves and some in fourths.  Spread out on cookie sheet over wax/parchment paper.  Sprinkle candy corn

A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell from this pic,
