Nail Files - I'm Such a "Trophy Wife"

Linking up with Tara at Fabulous But Evil and Vicki at My Vickilicious Life for their weekly linkup, The Nail Files. I won this fantabulous nail polish (along with some other funness) in a blog giveaway from this lovely blogger .  I just got it in the mail this week and I had to use it as soon as I opened it! :)  Essie: Trophy Wife - love love LOVE this color!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!! (Edit:  I just realized my iPad auto-corrected trophy to trophie and I didn't even notice until after I already published ... this is an example of a "blogger no-no")  I have corrected it and will NEVER make this mistake again!!   lol

"Leftover" Dressing Meatloaf

A friend of mine at work gave me this amazing recipe for meatloaf.  She used the Stove Top Stuffing mix in hers but I had a lot of dressing leftover from Thanksgiving so I decided to try that instead.  And OMG - this was one of the best meatloaf recipes I've every tried.  AND it got rid of some of the dressing that I'm tired of eating!  Don't get me wrong - I do love me some dressing .... but after eating it for several days, I'm over it!! (until Christmas) See the mac 'n' cheese??  I add Rotel to mine...yum!! What You Need: About 2 Cups of Leftover Dressing/Stuffing 1 Can of Tomato Sauce (or a mixture of tomato paste and water) 1 lb of Hamburger Meat Ketchup - optional You can even add cheese but I didn't think of that until after it was already in the oven. What You Do: Combine everything in a large bowl.  Spray your pan (I used a muffin pan) and fill with the mixture.  Cover in ketchup and bake for about 45 minutes on 350°. Enjoy!

Sip and Share Reveal

I participated in this fun swap hosted by the lovely ladies over at Planned Spontaneity and Everything Under the Sun .  I had a lot of fun with this one because I love anything coffee related!  AND - I had an awesome partner - Stephanye (love the spelling!) at The Chaos I Call My Life !  She is super sweet and has another blog about all things beauty - The Budget Fashionista ! Here is what was in my package - I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!  I've been wanting this book FOREVER (I'm kind of a self-help book weirdo!) and isn't this mug adorable?!?!  There were also Hershey Kisses in the mug but I ate them before I took the picture :) I have to add this - the link up was scheduled for the 23rd - I'm a few days late!  Here is why... I waited and waited for this package - I was giving it a few extra days because of the holidays before I asked Stephanye about it.  Well, while sitting out on my porch, I see a box in one of my big, empty flower pots.  Mr. Postman hid it f

Fall Decor!

I took my fall decorations down this weekend and decided to snap a few shots first. I bought my mums at the last minute so they weren't the prettiest but they were cheap and they will grow back next year! I also went dark for my fall/winter hair!

Sausage Balls

I have to share this EASY recipe that is a tradition in our family.  Sausage balls are one of my favorite things to take to work when we have a snack day.  They only seem to come around during the holidays though...I really should make them more often. What You Need: 3 1/2 C. Bisquick 1 Package of Shredded American Cheese 1 lb Sausage 1 Small Can of Green Chilis or about 6 Sliced Jalepenos - chopped What You Do: Mix everything together in a big bowl until thoroughly mixed (you may have to add a little bit of water). Bake at 350° for about 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Yumm!!!

Ipsy vs. Birchbox Showdown

Well hello there!!  Yes, I AM still alive!  I don't know where the time has gone...it has been two weeks since I last blogged.  Shame on me.  I have been really busy lately - I haven't even had time to do yoga, run, or count my calories...and is starting to show!  I plan on doing "goals" post AFTER Thanksgiving :) I was out of town this past weekend and came home to 5 packages on my doorstep...how fun is that?!?!  Two of them were my Birchbox and my ipsy  so I decided to a comparison on the two. BarkBox and One Lucky Mutt

Ally was very spoiled this weekend!  First, we took her to One Lucky Mutt  in Edmond, Oklahoma.  I picked up their flyer last time I was at our vet and I'm so glad I did!  I'm sure Ally had fun too - but I think I had more fun :) One Lucky Mutt is not just any pet store - they have all-natural food and treats, grooming products and so much more!  They even have the cutest leopard print dog bowls...I REALLY wanted to buy them but I  stayed strong!  I Ally may have to put them on her Christmas list! And they have the cutest sayings on the wall.  My favorite one was "Anyone who doesn't know what soap tastes like, has never washed a dog"! They also have self-serve dog wash.  Ally is the only dog I've ever had that absolutely loves getting bathed.   She could seriously sit there all day and get pampered.  We've been to other self-serve dog washes before but this was just FUN! They supply everything you could possibly need for a
