Gender Reveal Post (better late than never)

A couple posts ago, I announced that we are expecting twins!!  So many months have gone by...gender reveal, baby showers, maternity photos...now all that's over and we just wait until August 14th. I highly doubt they make it that far - but we shall see.

Oh and we are expecting....TWO GIRLS!!!!  We couldn't be more excited.  Poor David doesn't stand a chance with all the estrogen that's going to be in our house!  Even our little Ally is a girl!  After having 2 ultrasounds to prove to David that they are really girls, he finally decided we could discuss names.  We chose to name them after our Dad's middle names.  Carley, after his Dad's middle name, Carl...and Kentley, after my Dad's middle name, Kent.  Carley Elizabeth and Kentley Olivia :)

It's crazy how it worked out.  The one on the left (Baby A) will be the oldest.  We decided to name her Carley since David's dad is older than my dad.  Well, that was before we had our 3D/4D ultrasound.  She actually has David's features and Kentley has my features!  And Carley is the calm one.  She hasn't really flipped much or doesn't get under my ribs (well I should say "didn't" - she's not so calm since getting bigger).  David's dad is very relaxed and laid back.  Kentley has flipped to a different position every single ultrasound we've had.  She pretty much breaks my ribs and is constantly kicking.  And my dad is definitely the ornery and crazy one!

I want to post more on my pregnancy - now that I actually have a little energy and I'm not sick all the time.  Remember this post?!?!  So hopefully there will be more to come :)

A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell fr...
