TeaLicious - Moore, Oklahoma

When my cousin told me about this tea room restaurant in Moore, Oklahoma called TeaLicious , I couldn't wait to try it.  I love places like this.  I hope to one day own one.  A girl's gotta dream, right? I reserved a "tea party" table for some good friends and we had so much fun.  One of our friends didn't show up...so we ate her sandwiches.  We were good and held back from eating her dessert though. This was such a cute place.  Girly decor everywhere...LOVE! And these cupcakes...almost too cute to eat.  Almost! (Nobody ever spells my name right) Our table was decorated so lovely. This tea was very yummy...Strawberry Mango I believe. I'm not a big "fancy" sandwich eater, but these were actually quite tasty.  My favorite....cucumber and cream cheese. And my favorite part...dessert.  The strawberry shortcake was absolutely amazing!! Love these girls!! And t

Product Review: OK in a Box

Disclaimer: I received a free, complimentary box valued at $29 to complete this review.  All words and opinions are of my own.   What if I told you that you could get the best of Oklahoma made products sent right to your mailbox every month?  You'd be overly excited, right?  I thought so!! A while ago, I was lucky enough to be contacted by a new company, OK in a Box, to do a review of one of their boxes.  I had never heard of this company but I thought, "What a great idea!"  I have lived in Oklahoma my entire life and have yet to hear about so many of the great, locally made products.  So to box up these products and ship them monthly to your doorstep - this company is on to something!!   On to the good stuff.... Daddy Hinkle's Instant Meat Marinade : Onion and Garlic - Cleveland, Oklahoma I can't wait to try this.  It is a 2-part marinade - wet and dry.  Basically, you soak the meat with the wet and then rub it with the dry.  Yummy!

Gettin' My Flava On

As many of you probably already know, I'm addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper.  I've blogged about this problem many times.   Here , here , here , and  here .  I can't even count how many times I've "quit" ddp.  Way too many times.  They are like my cigarette, my drug of choice, my nemesis, my guilty pleasure.    I know how bad they are for me...I even had a patient tell me how bad they are and that I need to quit drinking them...but there are other "bad" things including the sun, too much television, plastic bottles, styrofoam, standing too close to the microwave, etc.  So, to quit ddp...I say bump that.  I will probably never give it up completely.  It just ain't gonna happen.  And to say that I will quit is being unrealistic and I'm setting myself up for failure.  Especially on Mondays like today when I just can't wake up and snap out of it.  I guess I could start drinking coffee.   So instead of giving it up cold turkey and turning into

Xyng: Product Review

Disclaimer: I received one 30-day supply of Xyng for free to review for this blog post.  All words and opinions are of my own. This post is way overdue!  A while ago, a friend of mine (and Alpha Phi sister!) that I haven't seen since college (where does the time go?) approached me with the opportunity to review this new product.  An all-natural weight loss supplement?  Ok - I'm in!  I am very careful with what type of weight loss products I take.  With so many dangerous products out there that cause heart palpitations and the like, I was a little nervous.  It seems like every product I've taken makes my heart feel like it's about to beat out of my chest.  Not good.  This one was different.  It didn't make me feel any different in any negative way.  No dizziness, no crazy heart issues, nothing.  I did notice more energy.  I didn't have my 3 in the afternoon can't hold my eyes open events.  It was a great feeling.   I didn't take it as consist
