Flatire Burgers - Edmond, Oklahoma

The hubs and I decided to actually try out a new restaurant.  We have a problem with going to the same ones over and over.  It's funny because when I moved to Oklahoma City, coming from a town where the eatery choices were minimal, I was so excited to try all the new places to eat.  I even made a list of all the ones I wanted to try.  And we still end up going to the same places I went to there.  So, I recently put my foot down we recently decided to start trying the places on my list.

Last weekend, we went to Flatire Burgers in Edmond, Oklahoma after a co-worker suggested it.  It was YUMMMY!!!!

I loved that they had all these eclectic beers - so many I'd never heard of.

David chose the Harp Lager and I chose the Jeremiah Weed.  David's was actually my favorite.  Mine was like a spiked lemonade.

I have to admit, it wasn't the burgers or the beer that enticed me to want to try this place.  When my co-worker said they have S'Mores as a dessert...I was in!

Aren't we sweet?!?! :)

We went on Friday night....not knowing it was half off chips and queso night...SCORE!

We split the Mac & Cheese Burger.  Yes, you read that right...macaroni & cheese on a burger with bacon, onions and jalepenos.  Quite possibly the best burger I've ever had.

And here is the star of the show....

Love, love, love the presentation!!

It was really hard to get this picture without being blurry...HOT!

They had bikes hanging from the ceiling and outside...cute!  This one was my favorite because it's mint green

Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and don't forget to enter my Bath and Body Works Giveaway here!!!

Nail Files and a Giveaway

Today I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki  for their fabulous linkup party, The Nail Files. Essie : Turquoise and Caicos Julep : Ivy Annnnd...I'm doing something a little special for my readers today - a nail polish giveaway!!  I am admittedly copying Christina over at Easily Entertained .  :) She recently did a nail polish giveaway (that I missed out on..boo) and I thought what a GREAT way to get rid of some of my overflowing collection of polishes!!! You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. All of these polishes are slightly used (maybe 2 or 3 times) except for the CHI brand and the green Ulta one - those have never been used.  The glitter pots and the lipgloss are also brand spankin' new. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Halloween Treats

For work gifts this year, I used these free printables  and these free printables  to make these cute little treats!  I had a lot of fun making them.  I dragged my poor mom and David around to so many stores looking for different colored Tic Tacs and eyeball candy.  I wanted very badly to make the Vampire Vitamins...who knew it would be so hard to find red Tic Tacs! I also made this easy Halloween Bark. What You Need:   1 Package Halloween Oreos Candy Corn 2 Packages Wilton Candy Melts in White Halloween Sprinkles - I ended up using different sprinkles than the ones in the picture...a girl has a right to change her mind, right? Pretzels - I stole these out of our Trick-or-Treat bowl because I felt like it needed something to offset all the sweetness. 1. Crumble up the Oreos.  I crushed some by hand, some in my food processor and broke some in halves and some in fourths.  Spread out on cookie sheet over wax/parchment paper.  Sprinkle candy corn

A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell from this pic,
