Nail Polish Makes Me Happy!

I admit, I have a problem when it comes to nail polish...I'm just *a little* addicted!!  I have this small, glittery, pink Caboodle that I've had since jr. high - I had even ordered a gold plate with my name engraved in it to stick on the top - that I've always kept my polish in.  Well, it was overflowing so I had to suck it up and go buy a bigger one, which is getting scary close to overflowing too!  Yes, a 29 year old went to the store and purchased a bright pink Caboodle.  *gasp*  Whatevs...I have no shame and I happen to ♥ my teeny bopper box of fun!!  Don't judge :) Here are my nails this week... Zoya in Pippa - I picked this up in the clearance section at Ulta for 3 bucks!! Sinful Colors in All About You That lasted one day until I got bored with it!  What can I say...a girl's gotta have variety! I painted over the gold with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Wet Cement Then I painted over all my nails with Sally Hansen Diamond Strengt

Beauty Time Tuesday

During my last shopping trip to Ulta, I scored with some *great* samples...who doesn't love a good sample?!?!  I tried this Biolage Exquisite Oil Replenishing Treatment tonight and I will be purchasing the big bottle fo sho!!    Why I heart it... 1. The smell.  I love love love the smell of Biolage.  It reminds me of my mom - she is addicted to Biolage products :) 2. It wasn't greasy like some oils on the market.   3. There is shampoo and conditioner in the same "Exquisite Oil" line.  I appreciate brands with matching products...they make me happy :) 4. I applied this with my hands and I rubbed the remaining product into my cuticles...BONUS!!  It soaked in very fast and wasn't oily. What fun samples have you tried lately??

Salted Caramel Butter Bars

We had our summer neighborhood BBQ this past Sunday so I decided to try out a recipe I got from a friend.  These were so easy!  The hardest thing about this recipe was finding caramel...who would've thought??  David and I went to 4 stores before finding individually packaged caramels!  BUT it was definitely worth it :) For Crust 1lb. salted butter - room temp 1 C. sugar 1 1/4 C. powdered sugar 2 T. vanilla 4 C. all-purpose flour For Filling 1 bag 14 oz. caramel candies - unwrapped 1/3 C. milk or cream 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 T. course sea salt  Crust 1. Preheat oven to 325°.  Combine butter and sugars in large bowl.   2. Mix on medium speed until creamy.  Add vanilla and combine.  3. Sift the flour into butter mixture and beat on low speed until smooth, soft dough forms. 4. Spray 9x13 baking pan with cooking spray.  Press 1/3 of the dough into pan evenly to form bottom crust. 5. Bake until firm and the edges are pale golden brown - 20 minutes

BarkBox

Yesterday, Groupon had a deal going for $35 for 3 months of BarkBox.  What is BarkBox you may ask.  Well, let me tell you!!  It's a monthly subscription delivered right to your door full of doggy treats and doggy toys!!  Much like BirchBox for us beauty addicts!!  Plus, 10% of the sales go towards a local rescue group. I had heard of it before but when I saw the Groupon, I just HAD to get it for my little Ally Girl!  For some reason, we started calling her that and it stuck.  She has about 5 *CHEEEEESY* nicknames but I won't even go there! :)  How could I resist this face?!?!  Ok - she's about 50 pounds bigger than this now, but she STILL has the best puppy dog face I've ever seen!  I can't wait to get my Ally's first box of treats!!  Want to order your pooch some monthly goodness??  Click here and your dog will thank you!!

Beauty Time Tuesday

Recently, I found this tip on Pinterest and I just HAD to share.  This may be a little TMI but I'm ok with that....I normally have to shave my legs EVERY SINGLE day to keep them smooth.  I swear my hair grows 1/4 of an inch over night.  (ok - not that much - but you get the point)  And let's be honest, I'm lucky if I shave 3 times a week!  My apologies go out to my dear hubby for my laziness.  Sorry babe!  The ONLY person I know that shaves her legs every night is my mom.  She seriously NEVER misses a night.  Crazy, I know!!  Unfortunately, I didn't inherit that OCD gene from her.  Stacks of paper are always straight and shoes lined up - but legs are not shaven every night.  :)   I tried this trick out last Thursday night and my legs were smooth until tonight and still, they really weren't that bad.  Five Days!  FIVE!!!!  Drum Roll, please... What you'll need.... Shave Gel Razor Sugar Scrub - you can make your own by mixing sugar and olive oi

Tulsa Trip - lululemon

As some of you know, I have a recent addiction to hot yoga.  Before my thumb issue, I would go to class at least 2 or 3 times a week.  Since starting yoga, I learned about this line of yoga wear called lululemon .  The closest store to us was in Tulsa so of course, I had to stop by while we were on our mini vaca this weekend.  It's on the more expensive side but after trying it on in the store for the first time....OMG I can totally see why!  It's for sure not your average yoga pant or top...the material was like silk!!  It was so flowy (is that a word) and soft, I didn't want to take it off!!!   I NEED this outfit!!!  I loved loved loved this top!!  I took notes of my sizes so maybe my dear hubby will purchase this for me for Christmas!!  *hint hint* Their store was so cute!  It wasn't a full retail store - it was called a showroom because it was smaller.  But I thought it was just the right size.  Any bigger, and I would've been overwhelmed!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes

I found this link up party on another blog and wanted to join in on the fun!! Yes, I posted this recipe on Sunday...but it's close enought right?!?! At my office, we always celebrate everyone's birthday by going out to eat and having dessert.  It was my turn to make something for my wonderful co-worker, Margaret.  She requested cupcakes so I decided to make these.  They were yummy, if I do say so myself :)  Cupcakes filled with cookie dough...YES!!!!     Here is the cookie dough filling....it was so hard to not just eat all of this by the spoonful! *Mixer Action Shot* I was quite excited she requested cupcakes because I have a nice little collection of cupcake liners!!! The icing was so easy to make!  Again...I had to show a little self control and not devour this entire bowl.  It had an amazing brown sugar flavor that just melted in your mouth.  I could seriously just make this icing and have it alone!! This is what th
