Leopard and Green

I have recently discovered my love of leopard.  Ok, I'm lying.  I have always been a little obsessed with anything leopard print.  Our master bedroom and bathroom have leopard accents (thanks to the hubby for letting me add leopard), my robe is leopard, my favorite bra is leopard, my office has leopard, my Snuggie is leopard.  You get the idea.  So last week, I paired it with green and now I love it even more.

Necklace: JCP / Bracelet: GroopDealz / Watch: Betsey Johnson / Bag: Jessica Simpson / Shoes: JCP

Let's discuss two things now.  First, the green bracelet.  You may remember me talking about everything pink and mint.  I get the most fabulous jewelry from GroopDealz.  Check it out.  Moving on...

Second, that BAG!!  True story... About 6 or so months ago, I was in Staples (or Office Depot - I always get them confused) and I saw this amazing Jessica Simpson Leopard Tote lined in PINK!  It would be perfect for my books/magazines/planner/bagofthingsIneed that I take to work everyday.  Plus, it came with a pink laptop cover/case whatever you call it.  It was everything I could have ever wanted in a bag.  Except, it was over $100!!  I am a bargain shopper and refuse to pay that much for a book tote.  I left the store very sad and put it on my list of things I need.  I never saw it again :(

UNTIL I went to Ross last week at lunch with the intentions of buying a book tote because I am tired of my old, plain, brown one.  They had the bag!!  It was the only one they had left and it was only $27.99!!!  Annnnd it still had the little price gadget thing from Staples on the inside.  It had gone on sale there to $79.99.  But, apparently nobody purchased it because they knew it was meant to be mine!  Staples shipped it off to Ross and it is now with me every. single. day.  Talk about meant to have this bag!

Nail Files and a Giveaway

Today I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki  for their fabulous linkup party, The Nail Files. Essie : Turquoise and Caicos Julep : Ivy Annnnd...I'm doing something a little special for my readers today - a nail polish giveaway!!  I am admittedly copying Christina over at Easily Entertained .  :) She recently did a nail polish giveaway (that I missed out on..boo) and I thought what a GREAT way to get rid of some of my overflowing collection of polishes!!! You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. All of these polishes are slightly used (maybe 2 or 3 times) except for the CHI brand and the green Ulta one - those have never been used.  The glitter pots and the lipgloss are also brand spankin' new. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Halloween Treats

For work gifts this year, I used these free printables  and these free printables  to make these cute little treats!  I had a lot of fun making them.  I dragged my poor mom and David around to so many stores looking for different colored Tic Tacs and eyeball candy.  I wanted very badly to make the Vampire Vitamins...who knew it would be so hard to find red Tic Tacs! I also made this easy Halloween Bark. What You Need:   1 Package Halloween Oreos Candy Corn 2 Packages Wilton Candy Melts in White Halloween Sprinkles - I ended up using different sprinkles than the ones in the picture...a girl has a right to change her mind, right? Pretzels - I stole these out of our Trick-or-Treat bowl because I felt like it needed something to offset all the sweetness. 1. Crumble up the Oreos.  I crushed some by hand, some in my food processor and broke some in halves and some in fourths.  Spread out on cookie sheet over wax/parchment paper.  Sprinkle candy corn

A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell from this pic,
