TRIA Hair Removal Laser

Ok...I'm just going to jump right into this.  Let's talk about hair.  I'm not talking about the hair on your head that you want people to see and love.  I'm talking about the unwanted hair that you loathe and want noone to see!  Embarrassing subject?  Yep!!  I have a medical condition called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) that has many, many side effects that makes it extremely difficult to get preggers but that's another subject we won't get into right now.  One of the most annoying effects being facial hair!!  There, I said it.  Since high school I've had to deal with this embarrassing situation.  Back then, I hated it and I would cry because I thought I was the only one dealing with this.  Now that I'm older (and wiser), I can laugh about it.  And the more I talk to people about it, the more I realize women everywhere are dealing with this "lady with the beard" issue.  I seriously could join a circus, people.  Ok, maybe it's not t

Honey Do List

This isn't your typical "Honey Do" list - this is your "Honey Does Fabulous Things" list!!  Ok - enough of that.  When thinking of a title for this post, I just HAD to use something about honey do....and then it got cheesy in a hurry.  So, moving on.... I came across something in a magazine that talked about all the benefits of honey for your skin and hair.  I'm always on the hunt for wonderful beauty products and tips , so I thought I'd give this a go. First, I mixed olive oil and honey to create a syrup-like consistency.  (I saved the spoons from our last trip to Orange Leaf Fro-Yo - perfect for this)  I put this all over my hair and rubbed in as much as I could.  I have to admit, I was a little skeptical.  Once I got this all rubbed in, I thought "HOW the HECK is this going to come out without ripping my hair out?"  I seriously thought the person that came up with this recipe was some type of prankster and thought it would be

OKC Thunder Wreath

As many of you know, the OKC Thunder are playing in the NBA playoffs and David and I are huge Thunder fans!!  They won the first game and play the 2nd tomorrow night, I believe!!  I even chose my Julep Maven box one month because the polishes were blue and orange.  And here is one of my first ever blog posts of us in our Thunder gear.  If we could go to every game, we would.  I decided instead of buying a Thunder wreath and spending about twice the amount, I would just make one!  It was sooo easy - thanks to this website .  I love all of her videos!  I don't think I will ever buy a wreath again.  I made this fun little collage in my new favorite iPhone app called Photo Collage .  It was free until I fell in love with this heart one and then I was suckered into paying $1.99 so I could get it.  So not fair! I got all of my supplies at Hobby Lobby.  I used: 1 Large Wreath Form   (our front door is huge - otherwise I would've done a smaller one and had more left

Operation: Cutify Office Space

I'm at work more than I'm at home (aren't we all?!), so I decided to add some fanciness to my office.  So, I hit my favorite shopping spots for decorations: Hobby Lobby, Ross, Gordman's, and Kirkland's.  I added a little paint to some of the items and headed up to work on a Saturday to begin my project.  I also begged and pleaded with David to come with me so he could hang things.  He's a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to hanging things on the wall.  I tend to just "eye" it and hang it.  He, on the other hand, uses a level.  HA! I decided to go with a navy and brown color scheme.  I also have leopard desk accessories that I've had for a while, so they go with these colors.   I found this piece at Hobby Lobby.  It was 1/2 off because it was metal and it was also a little banged up.  I knew I would be painting it (it started out brown), so I went ahead and got it even with the dents and scratches.  The cashier took it upon herself to
