Tidy Up Tuesday: Thirty One Gifts Bags

I am a self-proclaimed basket, tote, and container hoarding, organizing fool.  I ♥ to organize.  I get this from my mother.  She has a basket for EVERYTHING.  For instance, when we go visit and leave our keys on the bar, she puts them in the basket that is on the counter by the bar.  If we can't find something of ours (keys, sunglasses, etc) at her house, we know to start looking in the strategically placed baskets around the house.  David loves to make fun of the basket situation.  Slowly but surely, I am turning into my mother.  There is a place for everything and everything MUST be in its place.  OCD much??

So, I am dedicating one post a week to just that: organizing.  I will be sharing some of my organizing tips and ideas and also some before/afters for projects I take on at home.

I wanted to share this because it just makes me happy to open up the cabinet and see.  I know.  Weird.  Don't judge!  I recently won a Thirty-One Gifts tote from a blog giveaway.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it until I opened up my cabinet one day to get a band-aid and I had my first aid kit in a plastic basket (probably one I got from my Mom).  I decided to "cuten" it up a little.

I believe this one is called the Littles Carry-All Caddy - Perfect!!

I had also purchased the Organizing Utility Tote a couple months later.  I decided to use it for my emergency car kit.

See the Puma bag in the background?  I ordered some shoes from Amazon (LOVE Amazon!) and Puma puts their boxes inside these bags.  Instead of throwing it away, I put it in my car in case I ever have extremely muddy shoes and need somewhere to put them.  You never know, right?!?!

Everything fits just lovely in it!  I'm a huge fan of Thirty-One Gifts - I need to order more!  I should just stick to the plastic baskets - they are way cheaper!

Don't forget to check out my Scentsy bar giveaway here and also the new spring Scentsy!!

Nail Files and a Giveaway

Today I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki  for their fabulous linkup party, The Nail Files. Essie : Turquoise and Caicos Julep : Ivy Annnnd...I'm doing something a little special for my readers today - a nail polish giveaway!!  I am admittedly copying Christina over at Easily Entertained .  :) She recently did a nail polish giveaway (that I missed out on..boo) and I thought what a GREAT way to get rid of some of my overflowing collection of polishes!!! You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. All of these polishes are slightly used (maybe 2 or 3 times) except for the CHI brand and the green Ulta one - those have never been used.  The glitter pots and the lipgloss are also brand spankin' new. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Halloween Treats

For work gifts this year, I used these free printables  and these free printables  to make these cute little treats!  I had a lot of fun making them.  I dragged my poor mom and David around to so many stores looking for different colored Tic Tacs and eyeball candy.  I wanted very badly to make the Vampire Vitamins...who knew it would be so hard to find red Tic Tacs! I also made this easy Halloween Bark. What You Need:   1 Package Halloween Oreos Candy Corn 2 Packages Wilton Candy Melts in White Halloween Sprinkles - I ended up using different sprinkles than the ones in the picture...a girl has a right to change her mind, right? Pretzels - I stole these out of our Trick-or-Treat bowl because I felt like it needed something to offset all the sweetness. 1. Crumble up the Oreos.  I crushed some by hand, some in my food processor and broke some in halves and some in fourths.  Spread out on cookie sheet over wax/parchment paper.  Sprinkle candy corn
