Picture Frame Project

Have you ever gotten rid of old frames that don't match your decor??  Prepare to regret it!!  My mom had these in our last garage sale for a quarter and I snatched them up.  (I probably still owe her the fifty cents.) I used the same technique I used to refinish my hope chest  and added a few scrapbook flowers and black pearls.  I love how they turned out! So, the next time you think you want to get rid of an old, out-dated frame...just slap some paint on it and fall in love with it all over again!!

Bath and Body Works

Ok, so I have a little problem with Bath and Body Works.  I also talk about this here .  But, when they pretty much give you the stuff with all their coupons, it's hard..so very hard..to resist!!  Plus, when my hubby has to run into his golf store (which is about 45 seconds from BBW), I somehow always end up there.  So, I blame him. Here are the newest additions to my Bath and Body Works stash! Their soaps were on sale 5/$15 and they have some amazing new scents! Coconut Cove / Kitchen Mandarin / Island Breeze / Berry Sangria / Eucalyptus Mint (this one isn't new but I had to have it) Their new body scents Aruba Coconut and Bali Mango are my absolute favorites right now.  They are very "take me to the nearest beach" smells.  When I get more coupons, I'll have to go buy more of the Bali Mango.   ALSO.....my wedding post was just featured on Thrifty and Frugal Living ...eeeek!!!  Go check it out!!!

Saturday Night Dessert Cocktail

Thought I'd share this chocolatey delicious (adult) treat that I just made. It's pretty amazing and I'm pretty sure I could have another one...or two...but I'm going to resist. Oh, the self control!  David doesn't like coconut but he really liked this drink...so I had to share.  Aren't I nice?? Chocolate Covered Banana 1 1/4 oz. Coconut Rum 1 Banana - sliced 4 TB. Chocolate Syrup 1/2 - 1 C. Vanilla Ice Cream Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. I can't make a drink without putting salt, sugar, or something fun on top...and pink sugar did just the trick!  The only thing that could've made this better is whip cream on top!  Enjoy!!

Head Over Heels

Disclaimer: This post was intended to be my "oh so pinteresting" post - I was going to include "pinned" outfits that would go with each shoe.  BUT, Pinterest had other plans and decided to not let me embed anything.  So, perhaps that will happen another day.  I'm still linking up...hope nobody minds :) I am admitting this right now for the first and last time....I have TOO many shoes.  There, I said it.  I have a ridiculous amount of shoes.  I never even wear over half of them!!  And, a couple days ago, I had a very sad realization that I really don't "like" my high heels anymore.  Don't get me wrong - I do LOVE them...I just don't LIKE them.  I know, very sad.  But they just aren't comfortable anymore.   Here's what happened that sad morning...  I wanted to wear a pair of black heels.  Now, I have about 4 pairs of black heels.  I tried them all on....and chose the pair with the shortest heel.  What is this world coming t

Tidy Up Tuesday: Meal Planning Board

I've been using this menu board for almost 2 years and I don't know how I lived without it before!   I used to always go to the grocery store and buy things to make all kinds of new recipes and then I would get home and put everything away. By the time the week came and went, I would forget what I was supposed to make. So I ended up having all kinds of random food and it would go to waste. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this!! Now, before I go to the store, I plan dinners for the week and put them on the board. Then I make a list of everything I need so I only buy what is on the board...and my basics of course. And when each night comes around, I don't have to think about what I'm making for dinner. Plus, if I see I'm making say, chicken the next night, I sit it out the night before to thaw. This board was SO EASY to make. What you need: 12x12 Frame - I found mine at Hobby Lobby 12x12 Scrapbook Paper Dry Erase Marker
