Happy Birthday to the Hubs!

The Hubs turns the big 3-1 today!!  It is so tempting to combine his birthday and Christmas present together but that just wouldn't be fair now would it??  His gift from Ally - she is patiently waiting for him to open it! She got him a Batman calendar.  After all, he IS Batman ! He just loves me taking pictures of him...can't you tell? Here is the Batman mug I made him at Be Wild for Art in Norman.  (More on that later) I also got him a pressure washer (because he wanted one) but I forgot to take a picture of it.  You know you're getting old when you ask for a pressure washer...just sayin'! (I seriously need to start using my actual camera instead of my iphone - the quality of most of the pictures on my blog are not so great!) Happy Birthday Babe!

Secret Santa Reveal

A couple days ago I received a fun package in the mail from my Secret Santa!  Thank you to Kelly for hosting such a fun bloggy swap! Here are my goodies!  This color is perfect for Christmas! I just loved this card!! I sent to Heather at Lawless Life  - I've secretly been stalking her page :)  Go check our her blog - it's super cute!  I hope she likes her gift!  Now I'm off to see who my Secret Santa was!

Nail Files

Painting my nails makes me happy - if I could do it every day, I would.  My husband tells me I have too many nail polishes.  I. Think. Not.  This week I used another color from my 4-pack of minis.  I've also tried this color out.  I really like the Sally Hansen brand of nail polish - it's probably my fave.  Sally Hansen Gem Crush: Lady Luck It actually looks more purple-ish in the picture - but it's really more of a pink-ish red.  I changed my nail polish after a couple days to a more Christmas color.  I used the color I got in my Secret Santa Blog Swap . Essie: Scarlett O'Hara Linking up with Tara and Vicki! The hubs and I are going on vacation this weekend to Branson, Missouri with his parents - I'm so excited - I've never been.  I've heard it's really cheesy but that's ok because I like cheesy :)  So if I'm MIA this weekend - that's why!!

I Have a Problem!

I'm a little addicted to Wine and Palette paintings!  I did my first one and was hooked.  I've done 3 since and I have another one scheduled.  It's so nice to get artsy while spending time with friends and sippin' on some vino. Susan and I at Gage's Steakhouse in Guthrie Wine and Palette - "Sugar Skull" Me and Trea and Chastity Trea, Yours Truly, Chastity, and Kristen - at Joe's Crab Shack in Oklahoma City Painting A Night Out - "Fleur de Leopard" Lo, Me, and Christy at Caffe Pranzo in Oklahoma City Heart to Art - "Christmas Tree" If you haven't done one of these, um - you need to!  So much fun!!

Candy Swap Reveal

When I first came across this Candy Swap hosted by the sweet Sylvia over at Sweet Pea Sylvie , I HAD to jump on board!  Any excuse to eat candy, right?!?!  Then to make it even better, I found out her and I would be swapping.  Did I mention she lives in New Zealand??  Candy from another country - how fun! Everything tasted so different than American candy - I noticed a lot of things were more chewy than anything we have.  The Pineapple Lumps didn't sound good AT ALL...but they were actually really yummy!  David's favorite was the Milk Bottles. These were my favorite - similar to an M&M. The candy bars were all so good - notice all them are open.  I took pictures of everything before opening but then accidentally deleted them!  She also sent me a Whittaker's Chocolate Bar and it was my favorite favorite - it was gone by the time I realized I deleted the pictures.  I took everything to work and shared with the girls - it was really fun trying new

Nail Files: Big Money

I am loving this new polish - I picked up a set of 4 Sally Hansen Gem Crush mini polishes at Ulta for $4.99!! Sally Hansen Gem Crush : Big Money Linking up with Tara @ Fabulous But Evil for her weekly link up!

Peppermint Oreos

We are doing a Christmas Cookie Exchange for work tomorrow ... an excuse to taste several kinds of cookies???  Yes please!!  I chose to do Peppermint Oreos - they were so simple.  Kind of time consuming but well worth it!  I will be posting pictures of all the cookies I scarf down taste test later. Recipes that call for only 3 ingredients are the bomb diggity! I chopped mine mostly into a powder and left some small chunks.  Dear hubby informed me some of my chunks were too big and he hopes people don't break their teeth.  Thanks dear hubby for your concern...now I'm paranoid to even take them to work...maybe I should just keep them at home and eat them all myself!! :) Also - the last recipe I needed crushed peppermint, I used candy canes and they were a pain in the you know what to unwrap.  The small candies were much easier...just a little tip! The original recipe called for white chocolate but I find these candy melts are easier to melt and they also come
