❅christmas cupcakes❅

I know that I will never be able to completely catch up on blogging this past year's events, so I will only blog about the most important and our most favorite things...beginning with our new addiction, Gigi's Cupcakes!

Oh my gosh!!! These are the absolute best cupcakes I have ever had! We found them through one of David's Golf USA customers. She was in the store buying some things and happened to ask them for directions to this new cupcake place in town. The guys found directions and gave them to her and a little while later, she came back with a cupcake for each of them. David was nice enough to save his to share with me. He brought it home in the cutest little green box with pink writing and we devoured it like it was our last meal. DELICIOUS!!! White Midnight Magic Chocolate Chip was the flavor...here is the description on their Facebook page... "Devils food cake with dark chocolate chips baked in, topped with cream cheese frosting and chocolate chips" Our description..."OMG I WANT ANOTHER ONE!!!!"

At almost $4 per cupcake, I didn't think we'd be going back often...I was wrong! David wanted to order a dozen to take to my mom's for Christmas! He was hooked and I was happy that he was!! So here are our Christmas Cupcakes!!

Flavors from Buttered Rum and Chocolate Grasshopper...

to Chocolate Velvet and Christmas Kiss...

From Christmas Wreath and Gingerbread...

To Peppermint Candy Cane and Peppermint Mocha...

From Red Velvet...

To Texas Milk Chocolate..

And Winter Wonderland...

They have so many other flavors and we can NOT wait to try them!! Thank you random Golf USA customer for not knowing how to get to Gigi's!!

  1. First, the cupcakes are making me hungry. Second, I like the new look of the blog, but Sammy is wondering where Batman and The Joker went?

Nail Files and a Giveaway

Today I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki  for their fabulous linkup party, The Nail Files. Essie : Turquoise and Caicos Julep : Ivy Annnnd...I'm doing something a little special for my readers today - a nail polish giveaway!!  I am admittedly copying Christina over at Easily Entertained .  :) She recently did a nail polish giveaway (that I missed out on..boo) and I thought what a GREAT way to get rid of some of my overflowing collection of polishes!!! You will win 8 bottles of nail polish including brands: OPI, CHI, Ulta, Avon, 2 Glitter Pots from Julep, and an Ulta Lipgloss! I apologize for the lighting - I will try to get a better picture and upload it. All of these polishes are slightly used (maybe 2 or 3 times) except for the CHI brand and the green Ulta one - those have never been used.  The glitter pots and the lipgloss are also brand spankin' new. a Rafflecopter giveaway

Halloween Treats

For work gifts this year, I used these free printables  and these free printables  to make these cute little treats!  I had a lot of fun making them.  I dragged my poor mom and David around to so many stores looking for different colored Tic Tacs and eyeball candy.  I wanted very badly to make the Vampire Vitamins...who knew it would be so hard to find red Tic Tacs! I also made this easy Halloween Bark. What You Need:   1 Package Halloween Oreos Candy Corn 2 Packages Wilton Candy Melts in White Halloween Sprinkles - I ended up using different sprinkles than the ones in the picture...a girl has a right to change her mind, right? Pretzels - I stole these out of our Trick-or-Treat bowl because I felt like it needed something to offset all the sweetness. 1. Crumble up the Oreos.  I crushed some by hand, some in my food processor and broke some in halves and some in fourths.  Spread out on cookie sheet over wax/parchment paper.  Sprinkle candy corn

A Batman Wedding and a $9 Wedding Dress

I was on this blog today and she was talking about how women spend so much money on wedding dresses.  It reminded me of my wedding and then I realized I've never blogged about it!!!  It's already been a year and half and I still haven't even scrapbooked it!!!  Where does the time go? Ok...to the dress.  I knew exactly what I wanted.  I wanted it to be short, satin, and a "pick-up" style dress.  I looked around at David's Bridal and other stores but I just couldn't see spending more than $100 on my dress.  (I've been married before and had the big, fancy wedding - and we see how well that worked out!!)  So this time, I wanted a small wedding and didn't want to spend much.  I walked into Ross one day looking for something else and decided to walk through the dresses to look for a dress for my sis, the MOH.  It was like the clouds opened up and the angels were singing and the sun beamed down on this dress.  You can't really tell from this pic,
